Welcome to Steletta! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our K-8 test preparation application and services ("Service"). Our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information, is incorporated into these Terms. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. The Service

Steletta provides a platform for students to practice for tests, receive AI-powered assistance, and get personalized study plans. You agree to use the Service only for its intended educational purposes and in accordance with all applicable laws.

3. User Accounts

To use Steletta, you must create an account. This can be done by signing up with an email address or through a third-party service like Google or Clever. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under it.

4. Terms for Schools and Educators

This section applies when the Service is used by a teacher, school, district, or other educational institution ("School").

• Authority and Consent: By using the Service in a classroom or school setting, you represent and warrant that you are an authorized representative of your School with the authority to agree to these Terms on the School's behalf. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary parental consent for students to use the Service, in compliance with your School's policies and applicable laws like COPPA.
• Data Use Authorization (FERPA): By integrating the Service with Clever or otherwise providing student data, you authorize Steletta to process student information as a "School Official" under FERPA, for the sole purpose of providing the educational Service as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Responsibility for Users: The School is responsible for the activity of its student and teacher users on the Service and for ensuring they comply with these Terms.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds

Plan Types and Billing

Steletta offers paid subscription plans ("Subscription"), which may include individual plans for families or multi-seat licenses for educators ("Classroom Plan" or "School Plan"). By purchasing a Subscription, you agree to pay the specified fees. Educator plans are typically billed annually. All payments are processed through our third-party payment processor, Stripe.

Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your Subscription at any time through your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of your current paid billing period.

Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee for all new purchases of our Classroom and School plans.

For individual/family plans, we offer a 15-day money-back guarantee. To request a refund under this policy, please contact our support team with your account details.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and all its original content, features, and functionality are the exclusive property of Steletta.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to our Service if you breach these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by discontinuing use of the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Steletta be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.
